I am obsessed with golf. I named my second son, Nicklaus. If that doesn't show my obsession, if we have a third son his name will be Palmer. I started playing golf when I was 15-16 years old. My stepbrother, who is the same age, had been playing since he was 7, took me over to Encanto golf course and showed me the basic grip and set up. I took my first few swings, hitting a 7 iron about 150 yards and dead straight. I was hooked! When I was 17 I made the high school golf team as a junior. I just kinda went out and hit the ball with no concept of touch, feel or short game back then. However, I always seemed to putt well. Like Jack Nicklaus said, "Great putters are born that way. You just have the vision of what the putts are going to do." A few years down the road, I found myself working at Prescott Lakes Golf Club and in the midst of developing a pretty solid golf game.
After recording 2 course records of 9 under 63, I was encouraged to go play for a college having never done so. I played 2 years NJCAA and was being scouted when a shoulder injury kept me from playing for a Division 1 school.
I am now currently seeking Sponsorship and Donations to help me achieve my goals and dreams of playing professional golf.
